Paul D. Nancarrow

Paul D. Nancarrow was born in Claremore, Oklahoma in 1985 and spent his childhood in Texas, Michigan, Georgia, and Kansas. From a young age, Paul displayed an intense interest in the science fiction/fantasy genre, often writing short stories about sword and sorcery to share with classmates.

As a teenager, Paul's imagination lost none of its potency as he made it an odd habit to retell his favorite books, television shows, movies, and even video games in his own words, using in-depth narratives. After graduating high school in Overland Park, Kansas in 2003, he joined the army during the height of America's "Global War on Terrorism." Shortly after graduating from combat medic school, he was assigned to the 3rd Infantry division and was sent on the first of three Iraq combat tours in 2005. While deployed, Paul began to read through old journals he had written as a teenager. Within the old notebooks and piles of paper was a short story that sparked Paul into writing the beginnings of the Knight of Ages series. Originally planned to be only a single book, the story of the Knight of Ages grew longer and went into more detail with the subsequent combat tours on which Paul was sent. Paul continues to write the story of the Knight of Ages and still serves in the army today as a medical sergeant. He currently resides in Oklahoma with his wife, Jessa, two sons, Nathan and Jacob, and daughter, Gaelyn.
