
Gregory T.S. Walker
Gregory T.S. Walker is a 5th degree associate master black belt in the Chinese Shaolin system under Grandmaster Sin Kwang Thé. Walker was awarded a B.S. in Music with Honors in English from Indiana University before he received his doctorate and became a full professor at the University of Colorado Denver. After completing a first novel, The Pit and the Prima Donna, winning the Elizabeth M. Cruthers Prize in Playwriting, and attending the Second Wind Theatre premiere of his science fiction drama, Chambers of the Heart, he became an active freelance writer and columnist for a number of regional and international publications including the Colorado Daily, Symphony magazine, Teen Strings magazine, Chamber Music America magazine, and Strings magazine. Walker’s xy techno theatre toured the U.S. under the auspices of the Sonic Circuits Festival in 2003.
Also a widely recorded violin soloist and concertmaster of the Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra, Walker is currently working with filmmaker Chuck Fryberger on Song of the Untouchable, a documentary film project that required him to travel to Kerala, India and work with Dalit caste artists. He currently resides in Louisville, Colorado, with his wife, two sons, and a giant Asian wood turtle named after the great Swedish heavy metal guitarist, Yngwie Malmsteen.
